M2 fatal scooter crash driver named by Kent Police

A scooter enthusiast who died when his vehicle crashed on the M2 in Kent has been named by police.

Joe Tocci, 45, from Ramsgate, suffered fatal head injuries in the accident on the London-bound carriageway near junction six at Faversham.

His partner Sarah, who was a pillion passenger on the scooter, suffered minor injuries.

Mr Tocci's funeral is due to take place at St Ethelbert's Church in Ramsgate on Tuesday.

The 45-year-old mechanical engineer, was taken by the Kent Air Ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital following the accident on 12 September but later died.

Rather than flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the Kent Air Ambulance via Twyman and Holmes funeral directors in Ramsgate.

His 12-year-old daughter, Lucy Tocci, a pupil at St George's School at Broadstairs, is due to read a poem in tribute at the funeral.
