Baby alpaca stolen from Kent farm reunited with mother
A baby alpaca which was stolen from a Kent farm has been reunited with its mother.
Kent Police said the four-day-old animal, which was taken from Hartlip near Sittingbourne on Monday, would have died if had not been found.
Officers discovered the creature at a property in the Medway area.
A 35-year-old-man has been arrested on suspicion of theft and is being held at Medway Police Station.
A spokeswoman for Kent Police said: "Baby alpacas need to feed every two hours from the mother day and night and without this the animal would starve within four to five days.
"Police attended an address in Medway after reports the animal had been seen and the animal was recovered and taken to its mother."
