Hull driver charged with car reverse murder bid

A driver has been charged with attempted murder after a 65-year-old woman was hit by a reversing car in Hull.

Humberside Police said the pedestrian suffered serious injuries on Redmire Close, Bransholme on Sunday.

Her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Abdul Abbasi, 32, of Thorndale, Hull was remanded in custody following a hearing at the city's magistrates' court.

He will appear at Hull Crown Court on Thursday.
