Restoration plans for a west Hull park have gone on display after a £2.3m grant was earmarked for improvements.

Pearson Park will see its conservatory, entrance archway, bowling pavilion and other buildings restored following the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) grant.

A new bandstand and a bridge over the lake will also be built.

Hull City Council said the plans would be submitted in June, with the funds potentially released in 2017.

Artist's impressions of the proposals will be on display in the park until Sunday.

The funding follows a national HLF report that said the nation's public parks would be at serious risk of decline without new methods of providing finance and maintenance.
