Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man who was stabbed in the street in Hull.

Mateusz Szleper, 21, was found collapsed on West Parade on 14 February after a "violent altercation" involving a number of people, police said.

A 17-year-old boy and a 24-year-old man were detained in Hull after they were arrested in the West Midlands area.

Four men, aged 27, 23, 29 and 18, held last week, have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Det Ch Insp Matthew Baldwin said: "Developments in our continuing investigation took some of my officers to the West Midlands area where they arrested a 17-year-old boy and a 24-year-old man yesterday.

"Both are recent residents of Hull and they have been brought back to the area where they are now in custody assisting with enquiries into the murder of Mateusz Szleper."

He appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
