A block of flats in Grimsby has been evacuated after concerns about the building's safety in high winds.

Residents of the 77 flats at the Victoria Mills complex in Victoria Street North were moved to a nearby fishing museum.

A council spokesman said they were concerned about a "turret on the west elevation that appears to have moved".

The council said it was providing food and drink to the residents at the Fishing Heritage Centre.

The spokesman said it was also trying to arrange alternative accommodation.

High winds also caused a lorry to overturn on the Humber Bridge, causing the closure of the southbound carriageway.

The bridge has been closed to high-sided vehicles, motorbikes and caravans in both directions.

Humberside Police said the lorry driver suffered minor injuries.

The force said: "Due to the strength of the wind on the Humber Bridge, it is unsafe to lift the HGV, and it has had to be tied down to keep it secure on the bridge. "

The carriageway is expected to remain closed until Tuesday morning.
