Up to 260 Hull homes remain without gas after supplies were cut off on Tuesday.

The supply to about 400 homes in the Bricknell Avenue area was lost after water from a burst pipe leaked into gas mains.

Northern Gas Network (NGN) said engineers had reconnected around 140 homes on Saturday but work was ongoing

NGN is providing heaters, hot food, drinks and a drop-in centre at Kelvin Hall School, Bricknell Avenue, for affected residents.

Affected homes are in Bricknell Avenue, Burniston Road, Grammar School Road, Hartoft Road, Cropton Road, National Avenue, Appleton Road, Cloughton Grove and Langdale Avenue.
