Gilberdyke man killed after Land Rovers collide

A man was killed when a car driven by a teenager hit the back of his four-by-four vehicle in East Yorkshire.

Keith Calvert, 65, was standing behind his Land Rover Freelander when a Land Rover Discovery driven by a 19-year-old man hit the back of his vehicle.

Mr Calvert, of Oaklands, Gilberdyke, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 19-year-old suffered minor injuries in the crash on Main Road, Gilberdyke, on Saturday. He was arrested at the scene.

He has since been bailed pending further inquiries.

The force is appealing for witnesses.
