Ex-Hull FC player Gareth Raynor denies raping woman
Former Hull FC and Great Britain rugby league player Gareth Raynor has denied raping a woman in East Yorkshire.
The attack is alleged to have happened in December 2006. Appearing at Hull Crown Court, the winger also denied a further charge of unlawfully wounding a woman in West Yorkshire in April 2000.
Mr Raynor, 36, of Leeds, is to stand trial at the same court on 26 January.
He played at Hull FC from 2001-9 and also had stints with Leeds Rhinos, Bradford Bulls and Crusaders.
