Scunthorpe man denies stabbing pregnant woman

A man has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder after a pregnant woman was stabbed in North Lincolnshire.

Lauren Oliver, 25, was seven months pregnant when she was attacked in Ashtree Close, Belton, on 11 June.

She was taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital where her baby girl was delivered.

At Hull Crown Court, Nicholas Leaning, 28, of Torrington Road, Scunthorpe, also denied one charge of attempted child destruction.

He remains in custody and is due to stand trial at the same court on 27 October.
