Hundreds of people, including friends from Baysgarth School, joined the service at St Mary's Church in Barton.

A 23-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been released on police bail.

Colin Saywell, headteacher at Baysgarth School, described the teenager as a "best friend to everybody".

He said: "[He was] held in high esteem and great affection and a lot of respect from those closest to him."

Humberside Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses.

The force said a neighbour had reported seeing a man and a woman in the area soon after the crash who were described as being of Eastern European origin.

A spokesman said: "Attempts to locate the couple have so far been unsuccessful and, as they may be able to give an account of the incident, police are keen to trace them."
