Howsham tractor crash leaves elderly man dead

An 82-year-old man was killed when his car was involved in a crash with two tractors in North Lincolnshire.

The man was driving on Main Street in Howsham just before 15:00 BST on Friday when the collision happened. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Humberside Police said his 70-year-old female passenger suffered seat belt injuries while the tractor drivers were uninjured.

The road was closed for about six hours after the crash.

The vehicles involved were a Volvo car, one tractor towing agricultural machinery and another towing a trailer carrying hay bales.

Officers have asked any witnesses to contact them.
