Sniffer dogs used in Hull Easter crime crackdown
Sniffer dogs will search pubs and clubs in Hull as part of a bank holiday crime crackdown.
Officers with dogs will patrol Hull city centre over the Easter weekend in an effort to identify people carrying or using illegal drugs.
Extra high-visibility police patrols would also take place over the weekend, as well as extra checks on door staff.
Red cards would be issued by police to troublemakers directing them to leave the city centre area immediately.
Sgt Ian Goode, from Hull's violent crime and licensing team, said: "I would urge the public to be sensible and respect other people visiting Hull city centre by not treating the city as a toilet or a boxing ring."
