A cyclist has died after a collision with a white van in North Lincolnshire, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to the A18 between Crowle and Thorne at about 05:15 GMT on Wednesday.

Humberside Police said a male cyclist, who was believed to have been in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering fatal injuries.

The 27-year-old driver of the van suffered minor injuries and was taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital.

Officers believe the cyclist was travelling in front of the van prior to the collision.
