The mother and girlfriend of a father of three left fighting for his life after a night out in Hull have made a plea for information.
Paul Williams, 23, was found with serious head injuries near to Strand Close in the early hours of 30 October.
His mother Sharon Nevis, 47, and girlfriend Katie Tonkin, 23, have asked anyone who can help uncover what happened to contact police.
They said their lives had been turned upside down by what had happened.
Mr Williams was found injured close to the junction of Strand Close and Beverely Road.
Earlier that evening he had attended a Halloween party with his girlfriend and their one-year-old son and twin girls aged four.
Police said he remained critically ill at Hull Royal Infirmary.
Ms Nevis said: "He is not one to get in a fight, he is the joker of the group.
"We are still working with the police to try and establish exactly what happened to Paul.
"Every morning Katie and I wake up praying that something has changed and we will hear some good news.
"Paul squeezed my hand yesterday and I rang everyone to tell them, but then the doctors told me that was a reaction to his medication. Everyday I just wish for some improvement."
Ms Tonkin, who has been with Mr Williams for four years, described him as an "amazing dad".
"He would do anything for his three children," she said.
"They are too young to understand what is going on but I know that he will be missing them."
