Hull City manager Nigel Pearson is expected to return to the training ground on Friday after he was discharged from hospital.

Pearson was admitted to hospital after complaining of feeling unwell following a training session on Friday.

In a statement, the club said Pearson underwent extensive tests which had not revealed any problems and he was discharged on Tuesday.

Assistant manager Craig Shakespeare took charge during Pearson's absence.

Pearson joined the Tigers in June on a three-year contract following the club's relegation from the Premier League.
