Teenager arrested over attack on Grimsby woman

A teenager has been arrested in connection with an attack on a 69-year-old woman who later needed 60 stitches.

Pat Swales also suffered a dislocated shoulder in the attack at her home in Revesby Avenue, Grimsby, on 21 June. Her assailant also stole her jewellery.

Humberside Police said an 18-year-old male was arrested on Thursday morning and remains in custody.

A 47-year-old man was arrested shortly after the robbery and has been eleased on bail.

Police believe Mrs Swales was attacked after disturbing a man in her back garden as she let her dog out.

The suspect then entered her bungalow and stole a jewellery box leaving his victim on the ground.
