A man has been charged with murdering a man who was stabbed in a city centre.

Robert Eacock, 33, died after being attacked in Commercial Street, Hereford, on Monday afternoon. A post-mortem examination found he died from a single stab wound.

Anthony Boyd, 22, of Willenhall, West Midlands, was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

He appeared before magistrates on Friday and is next due at Worcester Crown Court on 6 February.

Mr Eacock's sister Hayley Hayman paid tribute to him on Tuesday and said her brother would be "missed so much".

West Mercia Police are calling for people who were on Commercial Street near The Kerry Pub, or travelling on nearby Union Street or Commercial Road when Mr Eacock died, to come forward with any pictures or footage that could help with the investigation.

Det Ch Insp Leighton Harding said: "We are particularly interested in images or video taken on mobile phones, and dashcam footage from vehicles driving in the vicinity at around midday."
