Man found on Kidderminster ring road named by police

A man who died after he was found unconscious in the middle of the road has been named by police.

Jason Westcott, was found on the A451 Ringway at about 05:00 on Sunday after a night out with friends.

The 22-year-old, originally from Weston-super-Mare and living in Kidderminster, died in hospital from head and abdominal injuries.

Police said a Stourport-on-Severn man, aged 42, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

West Mercia police said anyone who witnessed the incident, which happened between the bus depot island and Comberton Hill island, should contact collision investigators.
