Six flood warnings remain in place in Worcestershire, as the Environment Agency warns of a "continued risk of flooding" into early this week.

The four on the Severn are in south Worcester, at Hanley Road, Upton upon Severn, at Hanley Castle & Saxons Lode and in the Kempsey and Callow End area.

Two other warnings were issued for the River Avon at Strensham and Bredon and at Wyre Piddle.

In Upton, the gates on Waterside and New Street remain closed.

The agency said teams had been out "removing debris and checking flood defences" and warned of "more unsettled weather on the way".

A spokeswoman said: "We continue to manage the effects of the rain, falling on saturated ground and already high rivers."
