Worcester nightclub-goer suffers fractured skull in attack

A student suffered a fractured skull after he was punched in the face in an unprovoked attack in Worcester.

The teenage victim was leaving Sin Nightclub when he was approached by the attacker.

The blow caused him to fall backwards and hit his head on the road. He then tried to get up but fell forwards, resulting in multiple head injuries, including a fractured skull.

It happened in New Street at around 00:15 on Friday.

Det Con Craig Osborne said: "This appears to have been a totally unprovoked attack in which the victim has been seriously injured.

"He has only been in Worcester for a couple of weeks and it is appalling to think that one of his first experiences of being out and about in the city has resulted in him ending up in hospital."

The attacker is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, of a slim build, and aged 18 to 19 years old. He was clean shaven and had dark hair which was longer on top and swept to the side. He was wearing a white polo shirt light blue jeans.
