A motorcyclist has died from his injuries several days after being involved in a crash in Worcestershire.

The man in his 20s died in hospital on Sunday after the crash on the A4538 Pershore Lane, Martin Hussingtree, on 28 December.

The man, from Worcester, was travelling towards the M5 when his bike fell into the opposite carriageway into the path of a Suzuki Ignis.

Police, who appealed for witnesses, said he suffered serious head injuries.

Sgt Tony Bush, of West Mercia Police, said: "It was a cold day with very icy roads.

"This was a serous incident in which a young man sadly died and I would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who saw the bike travelling along the road in the run up to it."
