Bomber fails to appear at Croome Park airshow

A scheduled flypast in Worcestershire by a Lancaster bomber had to be cancelled at short notice.

The plane was due to fly over Croome Park on Saturday as part of a show marking 70 years since the formation of RAF Defford, near Pershore.

Technical problems meant the bomber did not carry out any of its scheduled appearances over the weekend except an appearance at RAF Fairford.

A National Trust spokeswoman said the cancellation had been at short notice.
