Two charged with knifepoint taxi robberies in Portsmouth
Two men have been charged by police investigating a spate of knifepoint robberies against taxi drivers.
Cash and mobile phones were stolen from cabbies in the Paulsgrove area of Portsmouth on Friday and Saturday.
A 46-year-old man from Paulsgrove has been charged with four counts of robbery and four counts of possession of an offensive weapon.
A 41-year-old man from the same area is also due before Portsmouth magistrates on Monday, accused of two robberies.
Previously, police said they were investigating incidents in Blakemere Road, Hillsley Road and Almondsbury Road.
