Michael Freshwater death: Man, 23, faces drugs charges

A man arrested in connection with the murder of a father-of-four has been charged with drugs offences.

Michael Freshwater, 49, was found at a property in Westridge Road, Southampton, on 29 April.

Detectives believe there was a dispute at the property before Mr Freshwater's body was discovered.

Kevin Suika, 23, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs. He had also been arrested on suspicion of Mr Freshwater's murder.

Mr Suika, from Holloway, north London, is being held on remand and is due before Southampton Crown Court on 3 September.

A 23-year-old man from London who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed pending further enquiries until 13 September.

More than a dozen people have so far been arrested as part of the investigation.
