M3 motorway reopens after crash forced 12-hour closure
A Hampshire motorway has been reopened after a crash forced its closure for almost 12 hours.
The M3 was shut in both directions when a white Ford Transit van on the northbound carriageway struck a road sign on Friday evening.
Police said the driver, a 25-year-old man from Bournemouth, is in a "critical but stable" condition after suffering a serious leg injury.
An air ambulance, which landed on the motorway, flew him to hospital.
The motorway was closed between junctions six and seven, but is now fully open.
