Tributes paid to Southampton M27 crash death man

The family of a man who died after the car he was travelling in crashed and overturned on the M27 in Southampton has said he was "was loved by many".

Luke Shaw, 20, from Bitterne, was a rear-seat passenger when the Vauxhall Corsa crashed on the eastbound carriageway, between Fareham and Portsmouth, on 26 June.

He died of his injuries in hospital three days later.

The driver, 20, and a front-seat passenger, 19, were also injured.

They have since been discharged from hospital.

Mr Shaw's mother, Tracy Pearce, said: "Although Luke may not be with us in person any more, he will always remain in our memories and most importantly our hearts."

"Since passing, a light has gone out in all our lives," she added.

His father, Gary Shaw, said: "Luke was not only my son, he was my best friend."

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident.
