German national Alexander Kaiser named as man who died on A3

A pedestrian who died after being struck by a car on the A3 motorway in Hampshire was a German national, police have said.

Alexander Kaiser, 35, from Westerwald, Germany, died after being hit on the northbound carriageway close to junction 1 in Waterlooville on Sunday.

An investigation into the circumstances of his death is under way.

The driver of the blue VW Polo was uninjured and is helping officers with their enquiries, police said.
