Shop fire closes Winchester High Street

A fire at an empty shop closed the main shopping street in Winchester.
The blaze, in an electrical cupboard, shut the High Street between Southgate Street and the traffic lights at Jewry Street.
Three pumps were deployed to the fire, which started at about 12:30 BST.
There were no reports of any injuries and no buildings were evacuated, the fire service said.
