Police officer hurt in Four Marks emergency response crash

A policeman has been injured in a crash while responding to an emergency call in Hampshire.

The collision, which involved his police car and a Honda Civic, happened outside the Travelodge on the A31 at Four Marks on Monday night.

The driver of the other car - a man from Bordon - sustained minor injuries.

Hampshire Constabulary said other units were drafted in to respond to the original incident the police car was travelling to.

The A31 was closed for several hours after the crash but has since re-opened.

An investigation is under way.
