Two in court over fatal attack on Dean Evans

Two men have appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a man attacked on a street in Hampshire.

Dean Evans, 31, from Kempshott, was found lying in Benham Road, Basingstoke, early on Friday. He died later in hospital.

Liam Darvill, 20, of Beaconsfield Road, and Thomas David Harris, 22, of Eastrop Way in Basingstoke, appeared before magistrates.

They were remanded to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday.

A 22-year-old man from Basingstoke, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
