An e-fit image of a man suspected of attacking an ambulance technician has been released by police.

The crew member was on a path in Dibden Purlieu, near Hythe, when he was approached by two men shouting verbal abuse.

He was cut with a sharp object in the attack on 29 February, police said. He suffered cuts to his face and arm.

The man is described as white, of scrawny build, aged in his 20s, about 6ft (1.8m) and wearing a black hoody.

Hampshire Constabulary said the second man they want to trace is described as white, also of scrawny build, aged 22 to 24, 5ft 10ins (1.7m) with brown hair.

He was wearing a white top with a blue horizontal stripe across the front.

The ambulance technician was on duty but not responding to an emergency.
