Gary Stacey death: Man bailed over Newport street attack

A man arrested on suspicion of murdering a 49-year-old found injured on the Isle of Wight has been bailed.

Gary Stacey, of Carisbrooke, was found with serious head injuries in St James' Street, Newport, in the early hours of Sunday. He died in hospital on Monday.

A 20-year-old man from Newport, who was held in connection with the attack, has been bailed until 29 March.

Two other men arrested as part of the inquiry, were released without charge on Monday.
