A man has admitted making threats while armed with a knife at a shop in Hampshire.

Armed police surrounded Virgin Media off Commercial Road, Portsmouth, and evacuated neighbouring shops, on 31 October last year, though no-one was injured.

Tobias Maylott, 21, from Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to making threats armed with a knife in a public place at Portsmouth Crown Court.

He is due to be sentenced on Friday.
