Two men have been arrested over the "unexplained" death of a woman in Southampton.

An ambulance was called to a house in St Mary's Street on Friday to take Majella Lynch, 51, to hospital.

She died early on Sunday. Post-mortem tests have been carried out but police have refused to reveal the findings.

A 45-year-old man was held on Friday and later bailed. A 42-year-old who was arrested on Sunday remains in custody.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said officers were contacted by medical staff after the ambulance was called to the address, which is believed to be Ms Lynch's home.

Police activity in St Denys Road is also connected to the inquiry.
