Clere Secondary School evacuated during fire
A secondary school in Hampshire was evacuated earlier following a fire which severely damaged a number of rooftop solar panels.
Five crews attended the incident at Clere Secondary School in Burghclere just before 14.00 GMT.
They managed to stop the fire from entering the sports hall and limited the damage to the roof of the building.
No-one was hurt in the incident and the school will be open as normal on Thursday.
Amanda Keable, community assistant at Clere School, said: "I initially thought it was bonfire smoke coming across the school field, but when entering the evacuation point it became clear it was a developed fire.
"The children were fantastic in evacuating the building and crew have been brilliant in keeping us updated and working hard in hot conditions."
