A main route from the M25 to Windsor in Berkshire will be closed until Monday morning while major resurfacing work is carried out.
The A308 Albert Road is used by about 20,000 vehicles a day and forms part of the route from the M25 to Legoland.
The road will be closed to traffic with a 13-mile signed diversion in place via Ascot in Berkshire and Englefield Green in Surrey.
The estimated cost of the work is £230,000.
The road is due to reopen on Monday at 07:00 GMT.
