Kerosene spilled in tanker crash in East Meon
A tanker has overturned, spilling up to 2,000 litres of heating oil on a rural road in Hampshire.
Police and fire and rescue crews were called to Coombe Road near East Meon after the tanker ended up on its side shortly before 1000 GMT.
Road closures were put in place while the kerosene, which is highly flammable, was being contained.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area to allow emergency services to get to the scene.
Hampshire Police said the driver of the tanker was unhurt.
Drivers are being warned Coombe Road is likely to remain closed at the East Meon junction until the evening.
