A woman who died when her car left the road and hit a tree in Hampshire has been named as 20-year-old Hayley Hobbs.

Ms Hobbs, from Whitehill near Bordon, was driving a Citroen Saxo on the A31 at Four Marks when the crash happened on Sunday morning.

She died at the scene and the road was closed for five hours while investigations took place.

Anyone who saw the car before the crash, or the accident itself, has been urged to contact police.

Icy roads contributed to a number of accidents on Sunday, including three separate crashes on the M3, police said.

Two cars overturned but no-one was injured.

The motorway was closed northbound from junction nine for about two-and-a-half hours while gritters treated the roads and the vehicles were recovered.
