Rolling pin torture murder suspect released on bail

A man has been released on bail after being held on suspicion of murdering an elderly woman who was battered to death with her rolling pin in Hampshire.

Georgina Edmonds, 77, was tortured and killed at her cottage in Brambridge, near Eastleigh, in January 2008.

Police believe Mrs Edmonds was tortured for her bank card Pin number and her killer used the card after her death.

Hampshire Constabulary said the 32-year-old man was rearrested on Thursday and had been bailed until 9 March.
