Injured girl hit by bus in Hampshire 'improves'


A five-year-old girl who was critically injured when she was hit by a bus in Hampshire is improving in hospital.

She is thought to have fallen from her scooter into the path of a single-decker bus in Knightwood Road, Chandler's Ford.

The girl, who was with her mother, was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious head injuries.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash, during Thursday evening's rush-hour, to come forward.

The bus driver, a 50-year-old man from Hedge End, was not injured.
