Southampton partygoers hit by man with piece of wood
Two partygoers were knocked unconscious by a man wielding a piece of wood in Southampton.
About 300 guests had left a 21st birthday party at the Dockers club in Brunswick Square when it ended at about midnight on Friday night.
They were attacked outside by a large crowd of youths who police believe had earlier been refused entry to the club.
The main suspect started hitting people over the head with a piece of wood, leaving three in hospital.
Two of those, a man and woman both aged 19, were knocked unconscious.
The main suspect is described as white, tall and aged in his late teens to early 20s.
The other youths are all described as in their late teens to early 20s and were wearing hooded tops and sports clothing.
Pc Mick Connolly, of Shirley CID, said: "This was a particularly nasty brawl and it appears these youths deliberately gathered outside after the party had finished, having been refused entry to the celebrations earlier in the evening."
