Stroud cyclist death: Man charged with causing death by dangerous driving

A man has been charged with causing the death of a 70-year-old cyclist by dangerous driving.

Daryl Ackland, 36, of Target Close, Stroud, also faces charges of driving without insurance.

Mr Ackland, who previously lived in Stonehouse, is due before Cheltenham Magistrates' Court later.

Two men, both aged 18, who had also been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, have been released without charge.

The cyclist died on Bisley Road in Stroud on Thursday afternoon.
