Man bailed after Cheltenham town centre assaults

A man who was arrested after two men were seriously assaulted in Cheltenham town centre has been released on bail.

A 28-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following the assaults early on Saturday in the High Street, outside Topshop, Gloucestershire Police said.

A 19-year-old who suffered a fractured skull remains in hospital, police said. The other man had his nose broken.

The suspect has been bailed until 16 November.
