An armed gang who robbed a pub and then set fire to it are being hunted by police.

Four men forced their way into the Greyhound Inn in Newnham-on-Severn at about 22:15 BST on Friday, after it had closed for the night.

A member of staff opened the door to a woman who claimed she had broken down. He was then threatened with a knife and assaulted.

The gang escaped with watches and money before setting fire to the pub.
