Boy hit by a bus in Gloucester has 'significant injuries'

A 10-year-old boy has "significant leg and abdominal injuries" after being hit by a bus in Gloucester.

Police were called to Park End Road at its junction with Trier Way just after 15:00 GMT on Friday.

The boy, who has not been named, was airlifted to Bristol Children's Hospital for treatment.

In a statement Gloucestershire Police said he was "poorly but stable". Anyone who witnessed the accident is urged to contact the police on 101.
