A group of people who set up a community farm in the Forest of Dean have been evicted from the site after a three-year battle.

Around 20 people were moved off and one man was arrested after bailiffs arrived at Yorkley Court Farm on Thursday.

One resident, Ben, said: "It's terrible because a great number of people have been made homeless, there's no provision being made for them."

Landowner Brian Bennett declined to comment about the eviction.

Insp Steve Chester said: "Everything is legally approved, the landowners have been very co-operative with us to ensure public safety.

"From what I've seen it has all gone peaceably, apart from the one arrest, no-one has been hurt and nothing bad has happened."

A 28-year-old man was arrested for obstructing court bailiffs and a breach of the peace.
