Gloucester stabbing suspect Anthony Poole denies murder

A man has denied a charge of murder following an attack on a 30-year-old man who died a week after he was stabbed in Gloucester.

Anthony Keith Poole, 51, of Melbourne Street East, Gloucester, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Martin Stokes.

He also denied wounding Benjamin McGregor-Clark, 47, with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Mr Poole faces trial in July and was remanded in custody at Bristol Crown Court.

The charges relate to an incident at a property in Nettleton Road, Gloucester, on the evening of 13 January.
