Man charged after 'gun disturbance' in Gloucester

A 25-year-old man has been charged with making threats to kill following a disturbance in Gloucester on Monday afternoon.

Gloucestershire Police were called to reports of a man with a gun at St Oswalds Retail Park at 16:30 BST.

The man, from Gloucester, has been charged with threatening to kill and a public order offence of causing alarm and distress.

He is due to appear at Gloucester Crown Court later.

A stretch of Kingsholm Road was cordoned off by police for a short period while officers attended the scene.

Another man who was arrested in connection with the disturbance has been bailed until 14 August
