Cirencester woman killed in A419 crash on Boxing Day

A 50-year-old woman has died after a Boxing Day crash on the A419 in Gloucestershire.

The Citroen Saxo being driven by the woman, from Cirencester, collided with another vehicle shortly after 11:00 GMT on Wednesday.

The driver and passenger of the second car both received hospital treatment for minor injuries.

Gloucestershire Police is appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened near to the Royal Agricultural College.

The road was closed for approximately four hours while investigations were carried out at the scene.
